The Nantahala Racing Club is a high-level, competitive 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the development and training of whitewater slalom, wildwater and freestyle athletes.

Since its beginning, numerous whitewater National Team members, Olympians and World Medalists have been proud to call themselves Rhinos. The club is committed to providing coaching to paddlers of all abilities and ages, with the ultimate goal of developing athletes capable of representing the US on the international racing circuit. The NRC assists athletes in their preparation for national and international competition including US Team Trials, National Championships, World Championships, World Cup, and the Olympic Games.

Congratulations to Eric Hurd of Gastonia, NC! Eric is the latest NRC athlete to become a member of the US Olympic team. This summer, Eric will join teammate Jeff Larimer in London. The two will compete in the C2 class.
